On the march

The march will be organised to make sure it is safe for anyone who wants to take part. The police will be controlling the traffic and we will organise stewards. If you have any questions or problems, just ask a steward.

The march is about 1½ miles and will take about 1 - 1½ hours. If you want to join for just part of the march, that is fine. It is the very beginning which is the most important part of the route - past Downing Street and the Department of Health.

If you miss the march the nearest tube to the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park is Lambeth North (Bakerloo Line). Elephant and Castle (Northern Line) is also close. Coaches can pick up from outside the park. There are plenty of buses from outside the park back to central London.

What to bring

Placards, banners and posters (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MHCampaigns/ for ideas). The theme of the day is "No Force". Banners must not be more than 8 feet wide.
Food and drink – There are shops close to the march.
